Hello! Welcome!
Where have you been?
Some travel the country or world, others their neighborhood. It doesn't matter the distance, only what you make of it.
ABOUT: I taught English in China, lived in the United Kingdom and studied yoga at an ashram in India. Then I spent years at home where my house was my world and trips to the grocery store and library were my only adventures. What do I make from this? STORIES.
Inspired by real life (mine and that of others), I write nonfiction for kids and adults. My debut children’s book, A Song for Robin, based on the life of African America singer Ella Jenkins, was published by Tiger Stripe Publishing. I'm a graduate from the University of East Anglia’s “life writing” program. My work for adults has appeared in the UK’s Bad Idea magazine, Mslexia and Yoga Chicago. When not writing for children, I tell stories about motherhood, marriage and mental health, and teach yoga.
